Of Markets & (Wo)Men is a photographic exploration of human beings and urban sprawl, examining the significance of food and physical marketplaces throughout myriad cultures.
In addition to bold use of color and typography, this book series includes over 300 photographs taken by me on global travels across six continents.
A Deeper Dive
During the past fifteen years, I have avidly documented my travels through a camera lens. Finally, I decided it was time to organize my plethora of photographs into a unique series of books that manifests the story of each place through an exploration of the city’s markets.
Markets are a central part of any city life and a capital of human interaction; they are where many people purchase their sustenance for the week and how residents make a living.
Each series is drastically different; some emphasize the mundane street scenes of everyday life and others conveying the gravitas of the individual portrait.
