An Identity Crisis in a Crowded Market

Onomie is a boutique beauty brand focused on combining skincare and makeup, manifested in their elegantly minimal product suite. When I joined the team in 2017, they were in the middle of an identity crisis. How would Onomie stand out among thousands of other beauty products?

I worked together with Onomie's Marketing Director and Product Developer to create custom graphics and animations, new packaging design, and photography assets to tell their brand story.


BRAND STRATEGY

Visual Storytelling

Onomie was struggling to find its identity and voice amidst the product surplus in the beauty world. Onomie has a simple suite of 4 key products, all scientifically engineered to have multiple skincare and makeup benefits.

As part of the team, I identified key opportunities to visually manifest the chemistry behind each product and tell the brand story with graphic design, email marketing campaigns, and long-form content. Here are a few examples.

Redesigned All Products Page with Custom Photography

Streamline User Flow + Experience
Analyzed customer drop-off rate from Google Analytics and heatmap data. Optimized and redesigned webpage to encourage the user to purchase product.

New Product Photography
Updated visual assets to have a clear and consistent appearance. 

Increased Conversions
Added prominent buttons, guiding the user to an easier knowledge gain and checkout flow.
